Minor in Art

Designed for students from all academic disciplines, a Minor in Art allows students to expand their creative practice through studio art. Whether you are interested in drawing, painting, photography, filmmaking, sculpture, or new media. An Art Minor provides opportunities to develop technical skills, explore creative concepts, and build a portfolio of work alongside students in the School of Art.

Students pursuing the Art Minor complete 16 credit hours of studio coursework and must maintain a minimum 2.00 GPA.

Program Requirements

To complete the Art Minor, students must take:

  • 2 introductory (100-level) studio art courses (8 credit hours)
  • 2 advanced studio art courses (8 credit hours)
